Jellyfish Museum Brings Unique New Attraction to Pompano Beach
March 2026
POMPANO BEACH, FL — One of Pompano Beach's most unusual new attractions has joined the growing collection of businesses and destinations surrounding the city's beachfront.
The Jellyfish Museum, located at 199 N. Ocean Boulevard, opened to the public in 2026 near the Fisher Family Pier.
The nearly 10,000-square-foot facility includes more than 6,000 square feet of exhibition space focused on jellyfish.
The attraction combines marine science, art, education, and immersive exhibits designed to showcase the distinctive movement, biology, and appearance of jellyfish.
A grand opening ceremony was held March 27, followed by the museum's opening to the public.
Rather than operating as a traditional aquarium, the attraction is focused specifically on jellyfish and is designed to provide visitors with both an educational and visually immersive experience.
Its location places the museum in the middle of one of Pompano Beach's fastest-growing commercial and tourism districts.
The area surrounding the Fisher Family Pier has experienced significant investment in recent years.
New restaurants, hotels, residential developments, entertainment businesses, and public improvements have helped transform the beachfront into a larger destination for residents and visitors.
The museum adds another year-round attraction that does not depend entirely on beach weather, potentially encouraging visitors to spend more time in the surrounding restaurant, retail, and entertainment district.
For Pompano Beach, the opening represents another addition to the city's growing beachfront economy.
It also provides families, tourists, and South Florida residents with another activity to experience while visiting the Pompano Beach Pier area.
